(Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)No, this was not from a live game, and the basket does look a bit short in the shot, but St. John’s basketball stars D’Angelo Harrison and Phil Greene IV combined for an awesome alley-oop for a Big East Tournament video shoot. Harrison throws a perfect bounce pass which Greene collects during a mid-air spin for a big two-handed dunk. During a Saturday game, five-star 2018 wide receiver Jalen Hall, the top player at that position in his class, made a phenomenal one-handed touchdown catch on a great throw by Georgia commit Jake Fromm. The only thing that might top the catch is the coordinated double-backflip celebration from Tyjon Lindsey and future Fromm teammate Richard LeCounte III.#AlphaPro acrobatics from @LilEasy_35 & @tyjonlindsey at @TheOpening. pic.twitter.com/3o9TsKDsnO— B/R The Future (@BR_TheFuture) July 10, 2016Pretty much everything that happened in this video was super athletic and impressive.
Inter are refusing to give up on the “dream” of signing Luka Modric despite seeing the Ballon d’Or winner commit his future to Real Madrid. The Serie A outfit have held long-standing interest in the Croatia international and made no secret of their desire to take him to Italy.Modric appeared to be open the idea of trading Madrid for Milan at one stage, but saw his current club rule out any sale. That stance was taken over the summer, as the 33-year-old helped his country to the World Cup final. He has since gone on to land the FIFA Best Award and Golden Ball, with a decade-long duopoly enjoyed by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo broken in the process. Those exploits have made it even more difficult for Inter to prise Modric away from Spain, but sporting director Piero Ausilio is ruling nothing out.He told Sky Sport Italia of interest shown over the summer: “I didn’t believe it until the end, but at the same time I don’t see why you can’t dream.“All I said last summer was: ‘We’re here, if Real Madrid think they can make this happen then let’s talk about it’.“We did not feel like starting a negotiation because we knew what our chances were.“Could we go again or has the dream ended? We’re talking about very important players with huge quality, but you can never say never in football.”While the Nerazzurri remain hopeful of one day bringing Modric onto their books, the player himself may have dashed those dreams. He told reporters at an awards ceremony in Zagreb: “My personal goal and big wish is to finish career in Real Madrid, that would be the ideal scenario.“But to achieve that, I have to stay capable of playing at the top, at the highest level. That is not going to be easy.”Modric’s current contract in Madrid is due to run until the summer of 2020.
New Barcelona signing Antoine Griezmann has credited Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone for his form in recent seasons, saying he felt “lucky” to have played under the Argentinian.Griezmann completed his €120 million (£107m/$134m) move to Barca last week after spending five years at Atleti playing under Simeone. His exit left a sour taste in Madrid, with Atletico adamant they should have been paid €200m (£179m/$225m) because they say Griezmann and his new club agreed terms before July 1, when his release clause dropped by €80m . Ox-rated! Dream night in Genk for Liverpool ace after injury nightmare Messi a man for all Champions League seasons – but will this really be Barcelona’s? Atletico believe the agreement has been in place since March, and made clear their “disgust” with both Barcelona and Griezmann. Barcelona are confident there is “no evidence” of such an agreement taking place.”We contacted Griezmann after he made the video saying goodbye to the fans, there was nothing in March,” Josep Maria Bartomeu said as the player was introduced to his new side. And, despite the bad blood between the two clubs, Griezmann has now tried to smooth over the relationship, offering heavy praise for his former coach. “I am lucky to have learned from Cholo Simeone. Thanks to him, I’ve been playing at a very high level,” Griezmann said in an interview with Barcelona.”At Atletico, there’s never a day off. It’s very physical and there’s a lot of hard work on tactics. Nobody can let their guard down.”Griezmann won a Europa League, Super Cup and Supercopa de Espana at Atleti, but the France international ended up on the losing side in the 2016 Champions League final.Cross-city rivals Real Madrid emerged victorious in a penalty shoot-out after Griezmann had hit the crossbar with a spot-kick in normal time.”I know that if I win a Champions League with Barca, it won’t make up for the pain of losing that final with Atletico,” Griezmann added.”For the fans, for my team-mates, that was a tough moment.”Barcelona will be hoping he can help them return to the top of the European game. The Spanish giants last won the Champions League in 2015, when the club topped Juventus 3-1 in the final.

Sunday, he explained himself on Twitter.Chase Winovich, the team’s outspoken defensive end, seemed to openly mock Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley after a big defensive play once the game was in-hand. Winovich copied McSorley’s signature “home run-salute” celebration.Of course, the move came off disrespectful.
